About Me

INSPIRING POSSIBILITY AND VITALITY AROUND THE WORLD.

In September 2006 I made the decision to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams, to be an entrepreneur. It was in my genes. My great grandfather owned a butcher shop in Welland, my grandmother owned her own driving school and I had an entrepreneurial uncle who hired me when I was a teenager. I started my own babysitting business at the age of 11 and at 13 I realized how much of a difference I could make in someone’s life by volunteering. That volunteer experience ignited a passion in me to do more for people. I remember thinking if I could make a positive difference in someone’s life, how great would that be. Little did I realize it would be the people I met along the way who would change my life forever.

The incredible journey that I have been on thus far has afforded me a beautiful family, amazing personal friends and an incredible community of professional colleagues. In 2016 to celebrate my 10th anniversary I decided to satisfy my craving for new ideas and a new adventure. So, I went back to school. In July 2016 I was honoured with the designation of Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University and became a member of the International Coach Federation. That experience was so exciting that I decided to keep the momentum going and pursued another lifelong dream of an MBA. As my coaching career evolved, I was ready for another learning adventure. In 2024, after a year of brain-based learning, I received certification as a BrainFirst© Transformational Coach and BrainFirst© Master Practitioner.

My Passion

My passion is coaching and facilitation. The reason I love them both so much is because I’m not in the driver’s seat, my clients are. I’m driven to create an environment where memorable “stuff” can happen. Whether it’s a room full of ideas that turn into a strategic plan or a defining moment that happens during a coaching session, my thrill is derived from watching others soar. Their thrill is knowing that they become stronger and more capable especially after I am gone. I take great pride in my client base being 100% referral business. If that ever changes, my business will have run its course and you’ll find me doing something different.

Here are a few things you may want to know about me. Prior to actually achieving my MBA, I used to tell people I had my MBE, Masters of Business Experience. In my opinion, that experience will be more valuable to me than my MBA because nothing can teach you more than your own experiences. I started my career in accounting, which led to several leadership positions in the profit and non-profit world. I’ve worked for small local business, large non-profits and did work provincially and nationally. Since starting my business I’ve worked with almost every sector, from small to large corporate companies both local and international. I’ve specialized in strategic planning, executive coaching, and facilitation because all three contribute to business and personal success. I help to facilitate the full spectrum of business from idea generation to strategy execution.

Organizations I’ve had the distinct privilege to work with:

  • Niagara Region
  • Town of Pelham
  • City of Welland
  • Bosch Rexroth Canada, Robert Bosch Inc.
  • World Kitchen Canada
  • Canadian Chiropractic Association
  • Procon
  • Flexo Products
  • CASON
  • ARID Recovery Homes
  • Alternatives for Youth
  • Niagara Construction Association
  • Formflex North America
  • Timbro Designs
  • Niagara Prosperity Initiative
  • The Greenfield Group
  • North Welland BIA
  • Westland Greenhouse Solutions
  • Ministry of Transportation (MTO)
  • Salit Steel

Giving Back

I mentioned earlier that I’ve been volunteering since I was 13. It’s also in my blood and I cannot imagine my life without volunteering. I am currently a Board of Trustee with Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital where I am honored to give back to this amazing health care facility that has helped my family. I was a Rotarian for 13 years, served as President of United Way of South Niagara and was a part of Leadership Niagara’s Curriculum team to name just a few. I was shocked when I became a recipient of the Queens Diamond Jubilee (seriously, still can’t believe it) and was given the Rotary Paul Harris Award, the highest honor one can receive in the Rotary world. I am humbled and so incredibly grateful for the recognition, but I would not have had this opportunity if my community had not opened their arms and invited me in to be a part of their lives. Thank you.

The Pitch

I guess I need to make a sales pitch now, because that’s what all the business books tell us. Don’t let an opportunity go by without promoting your business. So here it is. Talk to someone who knows me. Ask them about me and how I’ve helped them. I’m hoping they will encourage you to call me but if by chance they don’t, ask them if you should. You’ll find some client stories on my site and by all means, please connect with me to get some references. Chances are I’d love to do business with you!
